LaVerne Greene is a lifelong resident of Galena. He is retired from John Deere after more than 30 years of service. He recently owned and operated the Bee Hive, an office supply and variety store on Main Street. Today he owns and manages an antique store on U.S. Highway 20 on the east side of Galena.

LaVerne and his wife Donna have two children and four grandchildren. He is active in the Knights of Columbus, Elk’s Club, St. Michael’s Catholic Church and volunteers extensively in the community.

LaVerne’s hobbies include fishing, antique collecting and property renovation.
