Purpose: The 4th Annual Run for the Parks proceeds will assist the City of Galena with improving the Bouthillier Street Park for kids and their families. Last year we donated $10,000 for improvements at the Hill Street Park. The mission of the Kiwanis is to help the children of the world.

Race Distances 5K & 10K, Start Time, Cost:
-5K Run-walk, start time 9:00 a.m. & 10k run-walk, start time 9:10 a.m.
-Cost: Early Bird Nov. 23-30 ($30), Dec. ($35), Jan.-Feb. ($40), March-April ($45), and day of race ($50).
Location:
-Galena River Trail, 91 Bouthillier St., Galena, IL 61036 (under bridge)
Age Groups:
-12 and under, 13-18,19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Awards:
-All age groups will have male and female medal winners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place including overall medals for top male and female for 5K and 10K. All 12 and under runners will receive a ribbon.
Packet Hand Outs and T-Shirts:
-Participants can pick up their race packets (t-shirts, chips, race information, etc.) on Friday, April 21, from 4-7:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 22, from 8-8:45 a.m. There will be a tent under the bridge for the pick- up. Must be registered by April 5, to guarantee a t-shirt.
