The Galena Police Department allows citizens to ride-along with a police officer. This is a great opportunity to learn about law enforcement and experience the work that a police officer encounters on a daily basis.
You may submit an application for a police ride-along. Applicants must be City of Galena residents, high school students in career exploration curriculum, or college students enrolled in a Law Enforcement curriculum in order to be invited to ride-along with one of our police officers. Persons wishing to participate must complete the Ride-Along Program application and the Ride-Along program waiver.
