Mulch for Residents - City of Galena

Mulch for Residents

The Public Works Department shreds downed trees and branches into mulch. The city also receives mulch from utility companies when they are clearing under power lines. The mulch is piled at the old city landfill on Donegan Street.

Mulch is available to residents at no cost subject to availability. The resident is responsible for loading and transporting the mulch. The old landfill site is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Please contact City Hall at 815.777.1050 with questions.
