For the safety of all, the Galena River Trail and Galena Gateway Park will be closed during the upcoming deer and turkey firearm hunting seasons.
Trails will not be closed during archery seasons.
- Oct. 11-13, 2025 – Youth firearm
- Oct. 18-26, 2025 – Turkey season/firearm
- Nov. 21-23, 2025 – Deer season/firearm
- Dec. 4-7, 2025 – Deer season/firearm
- Dec. 12-14, 2025 – Deer season/muzzleloader only
- Jan. 1-4 and 16-18, 2026 – Deer season/late winter antlerless only and special CWD
