The City of Galena recommends all residents register with the CodeRED Emergency Notification System to receive important public messages.
This system allows local officials to phone, text and/or email all or targeted areas of the city or the Galena Rural Fire Protection District in case of an emergency that requires immediate action. CodeRED is also used to notify residents of other important issues such as water main breaks, boil orders, and snow removal requiring no parking.
