Hotel/motel tax is collected by the City of Galena on gross lodging receipts for lodging businesses located within the City of Galena. The tax is payable by the consumer purchasing the lodging. Hotel Tax is payable by the lodging business to the city not later than the last day of the month following the month of the tax collection by business. The Hotel Tax collections listed in the report are for the most recent complete month of tax collection by the city.
