In the summer of 2024, the City of Galena began the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan. The Galena Comprehensive Plan, adopted in November 2025, will guide the City in managing future growth and achieving the community’s vision and goals over the coming decades. The Plan was developed through a planning process that involved public input, including elected officials, appointed officials, residents, and members of the business community.
