The City of Galena offers a local license to establishments licensed by the State of Illinois to operate video gaming terminals under the Illinois Video Gaming Act.
The Video Gaming Act stipulates that the revenue from the video gaming terminals is split between the State of Illinois which receives 30%, the licensed establishment which receives 35%, and the terminal operator which receives 35%. The municipality where the terminal is located receives 5% of the net terminal income. The City of Galena share of revenues is provided in the monthly report below.
