The United States flag is the symbol of our country and should be handled with the greatest respect. When flags become worn out, faded, torn, or are otherwise not presentable, they may be deposited in one of three drop boxes in the City of Galena. The flags are then retired in accordance with the United States Flag Code.
Drop boxes are located:
- Behind Galena City Hall on Water Street
- Behind the VFW, 101 Commerce Street
- At the Galena Center for the Arts, 971 Gear Street
