City Attorney

 

The City Attorney is appointed annually by the mayor with the consent of the city council and serves on a part-time basis.  

The duties of City Attorney are to attend all regular and special meetings of the city council and give such legal advice to the council or to any council member, the mayor or any other city official that shall be requested of him including a written opinion on appropriate legal matters as they may arise, to prepare all ordinances and resolutions that may be required or desired and to be available for consultation for legal advice to the mayor, any council member or any other city official.
