The City of Galena contracts with the Galena Area Emergency Medical Service District for around the clock ambulance service for the community. Three state-of-the-art ambulances are on-call at all times. The ambulance service provides emergency transport to the Midwest Medical Center in Galena as well as Finley Hospital and Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa.
