Amusement, Food and Beverage, and Hotel Occupancy Taxpayers
To make paying taxes easier, the City of Galena has partnered with Localgov. This service facilitates secure and convenient online filings and payments. Galena taxpayers are required to use Localgov to pay Hotel Occupancy, Food and Beverage, and Amusement Tax. New businesses must also submit a License Registration form through Localgov. This service allows you to file and pay your City of Galena business taxes from the comfort of your home or business, save time, and avoid late fees.
All owners of Lodging, Food and Beverage, and Amusement Tax business establishments within the City limits must file monthly tax returns by the end of the following month. One filing form must be submitted for each establishment location. All taxes, interest, and penalties are to be paid at the time of filing. Please note payments are due on the due date with no exceptions for weekends or holidays.
