Terry Renner is a lifelong resident of Galena and has been married since 1968 to Elly. They have three children and eight grandchildren. Terry is an experienced community servant having served on the Galena Police Department from 1971-1979 and as chief from 1977-1979. He was a member of the Galena School Board from 1980-1995 with one term as president. Terry is a former Galena Art and Recreation board member and was active in the Galena EMTs from 1980-1986. He is a member of St. Mary's Church, and has served on the cemetery board and parish council. Terry was a member of the Galena Zoning Board when he was elected mayor. He served on the board since his appointment in 1998 and was chairman for his final 10 years of service.
