The Consolidated Election is scheduled for April 6, 2027. There are five City of Galena seats with terms expiring: full four-year terms for Ward I (Cindy Tegtmeyer), Ward IV (Cindy Johnson), At-Large (Jerry Westemeier), and two-year unexpired terms for City Clerk (Hillary Dickerson) and Ward III (Ben Petitgout).
Candidates interested in seeking election may obtain petition papers from the city clerk to begin circulating as early as Tuesday, Aug. 25. Papers must be filed with the city clerk from Nov. 16-23.
