The City of Galena has been notified that CodeRED, the third-party platform used for emergency alerts, has been impacted by a cybersecurity incident. As a precaution, anyone who previously registered for CodeRED should update passwords on any other accounts where they used the same password.
Because of this incident, the CodeRED enrollment link on the city’s website is temporarily unavailable. It will be restored once the system is secure and fully operational.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to visit the city website and follow the City of Galena, Illinois on Facebook for updates and notifications.
